This titanium duct is part of the bleed air system on a new aircraft programme. Originally manufactured from 8 separate cones, pressings and tube; our engineers reduced the parts count to 2. Employing our Saab fluid forming system and using a complex 5 axis laser profile, this final welded duct achieved a saving of 10 manhours over the previous method.
